About the Project

Local jurisdictions within Napa County are taking proactive steps to address the urgent challenges posed by climate change through this Napa County Regional Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (RCAAP)! The RCAAP will serve as a roadmap to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and climate vulnerabilities, supporting the region’s sustainability and resilience goals.

Who is spearheading the RCAAP?

The RCAAP is a collaborative effort led by multiple jurisdictions, including the County of Napa, the Cities of American CanyonCalistogaNapaSt. Helena, and the Town of Yountville. Together, they have partnered to leverage resources and promote engagement to advance climate action and adaptation in the Napa region.

Goals for the RCAAP

  • Establish a framework for reducing emissions and implementing climate adaptation measures.
  • Identify specific strategies regarding transportation, energy usage, land management, and waste disposal to meet greenhouse gas emission reduction goals.
  • Collaborate with Napa residents to identify priority areas and actions, leveraging community strengths throughout the planning process.
  • Promote inclusive engagement throughout the region.
